Often, the most compelling element of an image is something hidden in plain sight, a quiet detail or unexpected dynamic that suddenly reveals itself in the quiet space of editing.
My process is purely instinctive. I capture what pulls at me in the moment, often trusting my gut long before my mind catches up.
I photograph almost entirely in black and white.
Colour can be a loud distraction, pulling the eye toward surface decoration rather than substance.
By stripping away colour, distraction dissolves. What remains is an invitation to explore different layers: the contrast of raw light, the gravity of deep shadow, and the quiet tension within the frame.
The ability to reveal the essence beneath the surface is what makes black and white photography so timeless and expressive.
